This antique double case Elgin pocket watch was designed in 14kt yellow gold. The case has an unusual theme of a horseshoe set with seven diamonds along with a polo mallet and horse bridle. This engraved detail is in the center of the smooth gold case. The front case has the initials J.M. and the sides have wonderful handmade scrollwork. The inner watch dial is white enamel with Roman numeral indicators. The hands are handcrafted stainless steel and there is a circular second hand. The watch sets from a side pullout mechanism and is in good working order. Circa late 1800’s.
