This exquisite pair of original antique Etruscan earrings are of English origin and are Victorian circa mid 1850's. The earrings have an exceptional design, displaying a meticulous Etruscan style of curved filigree and granulated gold work fashioned in 18kt. The gold design extends down each earring further encircling a natural, faceted, blue 1.25ct aquamarine gemstone that suspends below. The earrings hang comfortably on the ear by secure, gold underwires with screw back closures that accommodate both both pierced and non pierced ears.
This remarkably preserved antique comes with its original box from the jewelry merchants Tessiers Ltd. of Bond Street in London, established in 1812 and which dissolved its Bond Street location in 1869.
Total aquamarine weight 2.50cts.
